There were 5,21,73,579 voters in the state overall, including 2,62 crore males, 2,59 crore women, and 4,699 transgender people. The total includes 16,976 centenarians, 12,15 lakh voters above the age of 80, and 9,17 lakh first-time votes. 5.55 lakh voters also have disabilities.

Polling stations

There were 58,282 voting locations for the election, of which 24,063 were in urban regions and 34,219 were in rural ones, according to the Election Commission. The Commission said that 1,320 polling places will be staffed by women, and 224 by staff members who are young and handicapped in order to promote increased voter turnout. Mysore Paints & Varnish supplied 1.3 lakh vials of permanent ink during the elections.
